Community Members Encouraged To Support County Council on Aging

By Staff | Jun 9, 2020

To the Editor:

I would like to inform the citizens of Palo Alto County of the opportunity to help support the Multipurpose Center. We are in need of persons willing to donate some time to a worthwhile organization by becoming a director of the Palo Alto County Council on Aging Board. The Councils’ only purpose is to support the Multipurpose Center.

The Board meets once a month for approximately one hour to discuss center news, plans for the future, improvements for the Multipurpose Center and upcoming fundraisers.

The Center serves congregate meals daily and social activities are held each week at the Multipurpose Center. The Center is available at a reasonable rent for family reunions, bridal showers, birthday parties, graduations and fundraising events.

Contact Dave Van Oosbree at 712-298-0539 or our Center Manager, Connie Schubert, at 712-852-3350 if you are interested. You can become part of a group that enjoys working together to make the center a better place for the members of the Palo Alto County community.

The Annual Meeting of Palo Alto County Council on Aging will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at 12:20 p.m. at the Multipurpose Center located at 2008 11th St, Emmetsburg, Iowa.

We would like to see interested members of the Palo Alto County community at the meeting.

If you are 18 years or older, we encourage you to become a member of Palo Alto County Council on Aging and join us in supporting the Multipurpose Center.
