We Live In A Very Caring And Giving County
Letter to the Editor,
Words do not and cannot express the appreciation felt by those working with the Upper Des Moines Opportunity Palo Alto County Outreach for the very generous contributions and donations the residents of Palo Alto County made throughout 2011.
We have been blessed by giving from individuals, churches, organizations and businesses. The Palo Alto County Outreach gratefully accepts and appreciates your help, trust and faith in our efforts to serve those in need. Thank you.
The support of our Christmas Programs and our Food Pantry was outstanding. All of our families were very thankful for the presents they received. The children had a merrier Christmas because of your generosity. The toys, food, gift certificates and cash donations were used to help some very needy families in our county. The families were also grateful to receive the hats and mittens for their children that were donated from individuals and from the Mitten Tree at Wentzel’s True Value.
We also want to thank the Emmetsburg Reporter/Democrat and their staff for publishing our Christmas projects. Without their help this would not have been the succes that it was. We appreciate the time and effort spent on this.
The gifts purchased from the Alco Angel Tree were very much appreciated by our elderly clients. They are always very hesitant to ask for assistance, but truly enjoyed receiving their gift. We want to thank the Alco staff for the help in organizing the project.
We do indeed live in a very caring and giving county. Thank you again for your generous donations and support this past year. With your continued support we will give our families the encouragement that they need to empower them to self-sufficiency.
If you have any questions or concerns about outreach, please feel free to give us a call or visit us at the outreach office.
