‘Finest Health Care System In The World’

By Staff | Feb 17, 2011

To the Editor:

For those of us who live in the United States of America, we have the finest health care system in the world. It can be improved upon, but not by making our system like the inferior ones in other countries.

Everyone in America can get any needed health care promptly. No one has to wait their turn. Those who think they are rich and those who think they are poor and those in between can make an appointment at their convenience. Malingers, thieves, and perverts of every kind get prompt attention.

Tort reform is one area that needs reform. Many Doctors pay more for malpractice insurance than many of us make in a year’s time. They should not need insurance for doing the best they can.

Health insurance should be owned and paid for by the insured and not by some third party. Compared to car insurance, many are covered by policies that pay for car tune ups and tire replacements. Such coverage is very expensive in the car insurance area and is very expensive in the health insurance area. Most car owners pay for tune ups and tire replacements out of their own pockets. Most Doctor visits are paid for by high priced insurance.

Someone else pays, so who cares?

Respectfully, (signed)
