Carroll J. Tindall
GRAETTINGER — Funeral service for Carroll J. Tindall is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the United Methodist Church in Graettinger. Pastor Lana Williams will officiate.
Burial is in Valley View Cemetery, Graettinger. The Henry-Olson Funeral Home, Graettinger, is in charge of arrangements.
Carroll J. Tindall, daughter of Henry and Ina (Kerr) Lammers, was born on April 28, 1926 in Emmetsburg. She passed away at her home in Graettinger on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 at the age of 93 years.
Carroll graduated from Graettinger High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Edwin “Brick” Tindall on Feb. 7, 1944. The couple made their home in rural Graettinger, where she resided her entire life. She was a substitute mail carrier for the US Post Office for 40 years, retiring in 2002. The couple moved into town in 1997.
Carroll enjoyed quilting and sewing, making too many quilts to count. Carroll loved traveling and going to auction sales. She enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, during their 12 years wintering in Florida.
Carroll was the oldest living member of the United Methodist Church in Graettinger. She was very active in the church, being a trustee, secretary, and treasurer, and a member of the Mary and Martha Circle. She was also was an active member in the United Methodist Women as a treasurer and secretary. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors.
Carroll is survived by her husband of 75 years, Brick of Graettinger; her children Ed Tindall, Jr of Crescent, Craig (Jeanne Paschang) Tindall of Omaha, NE, Lynn (Tina) Tindall of Louisville, CO, and Denise (Pat Peters) Tindall of Graettinger; three grandchildren Jennifer, Cieandra, and Jason; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ivan (Mary) Lammers of Anchorage, AK.
Carroll is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Dwight, Dwayne, and Donald.
