After driving truck for many years, Tom opened Carrigan Tire Repair in Emmetsburg before moving his business to Cylinder and opening Cylinder Tire Repair until his retirement. All of his patrons knew Tom was in if “Ol’ Yeller” (Tom’s ’67 GMC pickup) was parked out front.
