Muriel “Molly” Lambert 1918-2010

Muriel “Molly” Evangeline Lambert of Ruthven died Monday, December 27. 2010, at the Ruthven Community Care Center. She was 92.

Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 3 p.m. at Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home in Ruthven. Inurnment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ruthven. Martin-Mattice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Muriel “Molly” Evangeline Lambert, daughter of Carl P. and Leona M. (Folk) Behrendsen, was born December 20, 1918, in Gilmore City. She received her education in Ruthven, graduating from Ruthven High School.

Molly was united in marriage to Sydney Weaver 1937. To this union two children were born. Sydney served in the Army during WWII and was listed as missing in action in Germany on November 8, 1944. He was later declared killed in action.

In 1946, Molly was married to Wiley Roy Lambert in Spirit Lake. To this union a son was born. Molly and Wiley farmed near Milford until their retirement when they moved to Ruthven.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a grandson, Clinton Robinette; sister, Gladys Schoning Langfeldt; and brothers, Carl, Jr., Orval, and Jerry Behrendsen.

Survivors include her children, Peggy Robinette of San Francisco, CA; Marjorie Mohni of Ruthven; and John Lambert of Milford; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby “Judy” Ullom of Winston, OR, Bette Miller of Spirit Lake, and Mrs. Paul (Jeanne) Jones of Emmetsburg.
