Norma C. Schuller 1927-2011
MALLARD — Norma C. Schuller, 83, of Mallard died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg.
Funeral service for Mrs. Schuller was Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mallard. Burial was in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Harris Funeral Home in Mallard was in charge of arrangements.
Norma Cleo (Bachman), the daughter of Peter and Florence (Noethe) Bachman, was born July 31, 1927, in Arcadia. She attended parochial school in Arcadia before the family moved to West Bend. Norma graduated valedictorian at West Bend High School in 1945.
On Nov. 24, 1948, Norma and Willard “Bob”?Schuller were married at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Bend. The couple made their home on the Schuller family farm and moved to town in Mallard in 1984.
Norma was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mallard as well as the Christian Mothers and ladies groups of the church. She was especially appreciative of all her friends and neighbors who helped her during the past months.
Surviving are her children:?Sandra Schuller of Denver, CO, Kevin Schuller of Curlew and Terry Schuller of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren:?Brent (Heather)?Schuller and their daughter Jillian, Tracy (Karl) Geisler and Cal Schuller; sisters:?Rita Hansen of Whittemore and Minerva Montag of West Bend; brothers: Marvin (Della)?Bachman and Donald (Jane) Bachman, both of Portland,?OR, Ray Bachman of Beloit, WI, and Wilmer “Speed” (Mary)?Bachman of West Bend; sisters-in-law: Karen Bachman of Mallard and Marguerite Bertelsen of Hampton; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bachman was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 2007; son, Jim in 1974; brother, Virgil; and sister, Verne Maidment.
