On Aug. 6, 1966, Judy was united in marriage to John Davis in Winneconne, WI and they began their lives together in Oshkosh. Judy and John had two sons: Jay and Jeff before moving to Emmetsburg where John took over as plant manager for SNC.
Judy began working at Casey’s General Store in Emmetsburg when it opened in the fall of 1981. For over 29 years, Judy made the doughnuts. She held that position longer than anyone in the Casey’s chain.
Shortly after the move to Emmetsburg, Judy was instrumental in bringing the car seat program to this community. She also volunteered her time as a Den Mother for several years. Judy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was active in the Mary’s Circle.
She enjoyed spending time building puzzles, bird watching, spending time with her family, baking, working crossword puzzles, playing cards and games, and traveling. Judy loved gardening, and she was well known for her beautiful roses. She was always humming an upbeat song. She had a quick smile and an infectious laugh.
