Jeffery L. Rosacker 1954-2010

RUTHVEN — Funeral service for Jeffery L. Rosacker of Ruthven was Saturday, Dec. 4, at Living Word Church in Spencer. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven was in charge of arrangements.

Jeff Rosacker died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer. He was 56.

Jeffery Lynn Rosacker, son of Dale and Betty (Capner) Rosacker, was born April 14, 1954, in Sioux City. He received his education at Ruthven-Ayrshire Community School, graduating in 1972.

On Aug. 13, 1977, Jeff Rosacker and Marian “Marti” Martini were married at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Jeff was a self-employed contractor in the area and had also been employed at Great Lakes Cattle Company. Earlier, Jeff had worked for NFO and had farmed in the area.

Jeff was an active member of the Living Word Church in Spencer, where he was a member of the Praise Team musical group. Jeff sang and played bass guitar for this group. He was especially interested in music ministry and outreach ministries.

Survivors include his wife, Marti of Ruthven; his children, Ryan and Crystal Rosacker of Ruthven, Aaron and Monica Rosacker of Ruthven, Nathan and Julie Rosacker of Dickens and Megan Rosacker of Ruthven; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother and step-father, Betty Rosacker Snittjer and her husband, Don of Ruthven; sisters, Lori (Randy)?Eggers of California, Carol (Doug)?Dykstra of Emmetsburg, step-sisters, Kathy Cea of Arizona, Kelly Gourdeax of Arizona and Marilyn McGreachy of California; and a step-brother, Randy Snittjer of Arizona.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to Children’s Outreach Ministry at the Living Word Church in Spencer, Iowa.
