Michele Feauto 1955-2009

Service for Michele Rene Feauto of Akron will be today, Thursday, July 23, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Akron. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Parish Vigil service at 6 p.m.

Visitation is Friday, July 24, at Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.

Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Emmetsburg.

Michele Feauto passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the company of her loved ones after a long battle with liver disease.

Shelly was born to Albert C. and Elizabeth Laubenthal in Spencer. She graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1973, and received a BA from Buena Vista University in 1978, Michele married James Feauto of Akron in 1978. For the last 28 years she has resided in Akron, where she raised six children.

Michele is survived by her daughter, Anna (Allan)?Witt and granddaughter Rose of Akron, Abby Feauto of Newport, CA, Emily Feauto of Vermillion, SD and her special friend Aaron Sudbeck, James Feauto of Akron, Joseph Feauto of Akron, and Andrew “Gus”?Feauto of Akron.

Also surviving are her mother, Elizabeth Laubenthal of Emmetsburg; sisters and brothers: Lisa (David)?Oberg and their daughter Alexis; Molly (Randy)?Schneider and their children Tyler and Laura; Albert (Julie)?Laubenthal III and their children Ali and Alex; Nick Laubenthal and MAX; close friends, Sue and Terry Muth; and special cousins, Julie and Mike Laubenthal; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Albert C. Laubenthal; brother, James Laubenthal; grandparents, Jim and Alice Cragin and Doctor A.J. and Rose Laubenthal; parents-in-law, Vince and Rose Feauto; and many aunts and uncles.

Outreach Africa is a charitable organization very near and dear to Shelly’s heart for those wishing to make a memorial donation. The funds will be distributed to The Light in Africa Orphanage in Tanzania.
