Anna Pearl Moser 1916-2009

Funeral service for Pearl Moser of Emmetsburg is 10:30 a.m. today, Thursday, May 28, at the First United Methodist Church in Emmetsburg. The Rev. David A. Morris will officiate.

Burial will be in the West Bend Cemetery, West Bend. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moser died Monday, May 25, 2009, at the Emmetsburg Care Center. She was 92.

Anna ?Pearl Moser, daughter of Wade and Maude (Campbell)?Taylor, was born July 2, 1916, in Stover, MO. She received her education in Bradgate.

On Oct. 1, 1932, Pearl and William Moser were married in Gilmore City. The couple lived and farmed near Ottosen until 1936 when they purchased a farm near Rodman.

In 1969 Pearl and Bill retired and moved to Emmetsburg. Pearl worked at Lakeside Lutheran Home for a few years.

Pearl was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rodman and later the First United Methodist Church in Emmetsburg.

Survivors include her children: Glenn Moser of Cylinder, Carolyn (Ron)?Larsen of Blair, NE, Judy Knoer of Council Bluffs, Linda (Gary) Koppie of Emmetsburg, and daughter-in-law, Darlene Moser of Emmetsburg; 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Donna (Elmer)?Seifried of Humboldt and Joyce Myler of Springfield,?MO; and a faithful friend, Paul Bates of Emmetsburg.

Mrs. Moser was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; daughter, Janice; son, Lloyd Moser; daughter-in-law, Karen Moser; son-in-law, David Knoer; three grandchildren, Jerrit Hiatt, Jessica Rasmussen and Tracy Moser; brothers and sisters, Gertrude DeMoss, Opal Moser, Earl Taylor, Dee Taylor, Clyde Taylor, Iva Moser and Obie Taylor.
