Kent S. Oleson 1945-2009

Kent S. Oleson passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, after an extended battle with Lou Gehrig’s (ALS)?disease.

Kent was born Nov. 18, 1945, in Mallard and left there shortly after graduation to join the Navy. He served during the Viet Nam conflict. Known by most as just “Oley,”?he spent most of his enlistment on the USS?Camden (AOE-2).

After the service, he moved to Seattle, WA, where he spent 18 years before moving to the southern California area, the last nine being in Rancho Cucamonga. Oley was an avid NASCAR fan and loved the old cars.

He is survived by his wife, April; brother, Alan (Laura); sister, Candy Bisenius (Rick); daughter, April (JT); son, Chris (Leia); and grandchildren Jack and Katie.
