Eileen A. Stillman 1957-2009

Funeral service for Eileen A. Stillman of Emmetsburg was Monday, Jan. 26, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Celebrant was the Rev. Dan Guenther from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City.

Inurnment was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Emmetsburg. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg was in charge.

Eileen Stillman, 51, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Eileen Ann Stillman, daughter of Melbourne and Ann (Coady) Haag, was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Estherville. She graduated from Ledyard High School.

On Nov. 17, 1978, Eileen and Jeffrey Stillman were married at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Eileen was employed at Iowa Trust &?Savings Bank and later at Iowa Lakes Community College. She received her Associate Degree from Iowa Lakes and completed her Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management from Briar Cliff College. After receiving her degree, Eileen went to work for AGP when their company began in Emmetsburg.

Eileen was a member of Holy Family Parish in Emmetsburg and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the “More Cents Tomorrow” group and she was active in volleyball and Relay for Life.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff, of Emmetsburg; her sons, Brian (Jennifer) of Austin, TX, and Kevin of Algona; her parents, Melbourne and Ann Haag of Ledyard; sisters, Linda (Lloyd) Eichenberger of Ledyard and Mary (Quinn)?Smith of Grants, NM; a brother, Tom (Patty)?Haag of Ledyard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Stillman of Emmetsburg, nieces and nephews.

Eileen Stillman was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lois and Bill Stillman.
