Robert E. Alexander, Sr.
RUTHVEN — Funeral service for Robert E. Alexander, Sr. of Ayrshire is 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Ayrshire.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven.
Mr. Alexander, 78, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at his home in Ayrshire.
Robert Eldon Alexander, Sr., was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Greenville. He attended school in Spencer, graduating in 1950.
On June 6, 1959, Robert Alexander was married to Frances Warren of Royal. Bob worked at as a lab and x-ray technician in Kanwas, then moved to California where he worked in research at Hyland Laboratories. In 1969, he graduated from the nursing program at Los Angeles Pierce College.
Bob is survived by his wife, Frances; Bob and Julie Alexander of Ruthven; Joseph and Susan Alexander of Milton, FL; and Myron and Susan Wike of Eldorado, OH; and ten grandchildren.
Also surviving are his brother, Allen (Verna) Alexander of Bullhead City, AZ; his brother-in-law, George Weber of Ayrshire.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by two children, Edward and Kristen.
