SHELDON — Funeral service for Amelia R. “Millie” Kudrin of Sheldon, is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley. The Rev. Terry P. Simm will officiate.

Burial will be at 2:30pm Friday, Nov. 21, in the St. Jacob’s Catholic Cemetery in Graettinger.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 20, after 4 p.m. at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Millie Kudrin, 64, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 in her home in Sheldon.

Amelia Ruth “Millie” Kudrin, the daughter of Glenn and Cora (Smith) Smoot, was born Sept. 18, 1945 in Laurens. She graduated from the Royal High School in 1964.

Millie was married to Ron Taylor in June 1966. He preceded her in death in August of 1969. In January of 1971, Millie married Joe Tindall and he preceded her in death in August of 1982. On Sept. 19, 1987, Millie was married to David S. Kudrin in Omaha, NE. They lived in Omaha and in Missouri Valley before moving to the Sheldon area in 1995. David preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2003 in Sheldon.

Millie had worked as the editor of the Graettinger Times in Graettinger. She had owned and operated a cake shop in Emmetsburg for nine years and for over 40 years she has worked with people with special needs. For the past several years, Millie has been employed with the Village Northwest in Sheldon.

Millie was of a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley. She enjoyed scrapbooking, and her most favorite hobby was her grandchildren.

Millie leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael (Mary) Taylor of Patuxent River, MD; a daughter, Michelle Francis of Sioux Falls, SD; three stepchildren, Tami Fransico of Omaha, NE; Tara (Kent) Hyde of Council Bluffs; David H. (Laura) Kudrin of Lee Summit, MO; and 12 grandchildren.

She is also survived by three sisters, Peggy (Lenis) Luchtel of Lake View; Linda Swenson of Spencer; Flo (Ted) Lombard of Anchorage, AK; and brother Bart (Becky) Smoot of Royal.

Millie was preceded in death by her three husbands, Ron, Joe and David; her parents and two infant brothers.
