Todd E. Hersleff 1952-2008

RUTHVEN — Funeral service for Todd Hersleff is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ruthven. The Rev. Luther Thoresen will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens Cemetery, Spirit Lake. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hersleff died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home in Ruthven. He was 55.

Todd Elliot Hersleff, son of Alan and Sylvia (Olson) Hersleff, was born May 13, 1952, in Estherville. He graduated from Graettinger High School in 1970.

On June 30, 1979, Todd was united in marriage to Jacky Blankenburg in Ruthven. Todd was employed at Eaton’s in Spencer for 25 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ducks Unlimited.

Survivors include his wife, Jacky, of Ruthven; his children, Josh Hersleff of Ruthven and Krystle Hersleff of Spencer; three grandchildren, Gavin, Ashten and EmmaLynn.

Also surviving are his mother and step father, Sylvia and Bill Graves of Cedar Falls; brothers, Kim of Houston, TX, Kirby and wife Chris of Swea City, and Perry and wife Elin of Forest City; a sister, Cindy and Randy James of Graettinger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charly and Erin Blankenburg of Fort Dodge, Tracy and Terry Kinnetz of Spirit Lake, Pam and Sam Wedeking of Spirit Lake, and Sandy Turnquist of Hartley; a special aunt, Dorothy Crim and her husband, Marv, of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.
