LEROY, MN — Memorial service for Ruth E. Scott is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the First Presbyterian Church in LeRoy, MN, with the Rev. Neal Solomonson officiating. Interment will be at Rush Lake Cemetery, Curlew, in the spring.
Ruth Eilleen Scott, 84, of LeRoy, MN, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at the Adams Health Care Center.
Ruth was born in Calhoun County, IA, to Roy and Lucille Travis. She was raised in the community of Manson.
She married Dale Scott on May 10, 1942, in Nashua. They farmed in the Curlew and Cylinder communities and in 1958 bought a farm at LeRoy, MN.
Ruth enjoyed her family and friends, playing cards, and phone visits. She especially loved the younger generation, including her grandkids and great grandchildren.
Those who mourn her passing are daughter Barbara (Warren) Barrett of Bella Vista, AR, son Robert (Lynda) Scott of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister, Mary (Leonard) Leslein of Curlew; and brother, Rex (Bobbie) Travis of Ruthven.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her son, Paul; and one grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy, MN.
