Palo Alto County FSA Update

Palo Alto County Service Center Reopening to Limited Visitors

By Staff | Apr 13, 2021

by Lisa Forburger

The Service Center in Palo Alto County is now open to limited visitors by appointment only. Farm Service Agency (FSA) and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) staff also continue to work with agricultural producers using the window, via phone, email, and other digital tools.

To make an in-person or phone appointment, call 712 852 3386. This will be very helpful for acreage reporting, but we would like you to wait to make that appointment until you are done planting your crops. It will also be very helpful for our farm loan team and working with CRP contracts.

Visits to Service Centers will be conducted in a safe manner to protect both employees and customers through proper physical distancing, mask wearing and cleaning. Prior to entry all visitors will be asked to complete system screening with a questionnaire. Everyone is required to wear masks at all times while inside the USDA facility and will be physically distanced.

Visitors are not permitted to wait for their appointment inside a USDA facility. We will call them when we are ready for their appointment. They will wait outside until then.

If COVID cases rise to high levels in a location, the visitor access maybe suspended until safer conditions return.

If you have any questions, please contact the Palo Alto County Farm Service agency by calling 712 852 3386.
