Building Better Birders: Intro to Iowa Raptors Offered by Nature Center

RUTHVEN — Raptors in Iowa are a wonderful sight to see. But knowing the characteristics in order to identify them can be tricky.

The public is invited to the Lost Island Nature Center to learn about the raptors that are in Iowa at an Intro to Iowa Raptors presentation.

This event is taking place on Thursday, Jan. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lost Island Nature Center. Pre-registration is required by calling 712-837-4866 by Jan. 26.

This workshop will be conducted by Kelly McKay, BioEco Research and Monitoring Center, with assistance from Mark Roberts of Clinton County Conservation and Brian Ritter of Nahant Marsh Education Center.
