Not Much Change In Final Vote Totals

There was very little change in the official vote totals from the unofficial vote totals reported after the General Election held Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Members of the Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors canvassed the tally lists from the General Election at their Nov. 10 meeting.

Looking at each race in Palo Alto County, there were minor changes in each vote total, but not enough to change the outcome.

Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors, District 3 – incumbent Roger Faulstick, running unopposed, vote total 739, an increase of two votes. There were 13 write-in votes.

Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors, District 4 – incumbent Ronald Graettinger, running unopposed, vote total 804, unchanged. There were nine write-in votes.

Palo Alto County Auditor – incumbent Carmen Moser, running unopposed, vote total 4,478, an increase of four votes. There were 21 write-in votes.

Palo Alto County Sheriff – incumbent Lynn J. Schultes, running unopposed, vote total 4,091, an increase of five votes. There were 90 write-in votes.

Palo Alto County Hospital Trustee – Melanie Flynn, vote total 2,466, an increase of one vote; Rick Brennan, vote total 2,515, an increase of three votes; Mary Cooper, vote total 1,949, an increase of four votes. There were 16 write-in votes. Brennan and Flynn were elected to serve.

Palo Alto County Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners – Joel Horsley, vote total 3,305, an increase of four votes; Anita D. Fisher, vote total 2,959, an increase of three votes. There were 74 write-in votes. The write-in with the highest number of votes will serve.

Palo Alto County Extension Council – Mason Hoffman, vote total 2,842, an increase of three votes; Justin Kibbie, vote total 3,297, an increase of four; Sue Haack, vote total 2,682, an increase of three; Thomas Kuecker, vote total 2,563, an increase of three.
