Foster and Adoptive Parents Invited to Northwest Iowa Adoption Conference
SPENCER — Foster and adoptive parents are invited to attend the Northwest Iowa Adoption Conference on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Arnolds Park.
The event is hosted by LSI Foster Care and Adoption, which provides support for foster and adoptive families in 30 counties across western Iowa.
The training, held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., will teach families about utilizing the Enhanced Nurtured Heart Approach, a set of core methodologies developed to make a positive impact on children with difficult behaviors or behavioral health diagnoses.
The training will be held at the Waterfront Event Center, located at 610 Linden Drive in Arnolds Park.
Families can register online through LSI Foster Care and Adoption’s training calendar at LSIowa.org/calendar.
At this time, LSI is asking all attendees to practice social distancing and wear a mask during the session.
Prior to the event, attendees are asked to review and sign LSI’s COVID-19 safety guidelines acknowledgement form, which can be found at LSIowa.org/calendar, and bring the form to the event.
