Bicyclers Invited to “Pedal With Pete”
Bike Ride For A Cure For Cerebral Palsy
The 4-H Youth County Council is again organizing a bike ride to raise money for research for cerebral palsy. Anyone who can ride a bike in Palo Alto County is invited to join the group and pedal for a cure.
The “Pedal With Pete” ride will take place Sunday afternoon, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. Registration will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the Exhibits Building on the Palo Alto County Fairgrounds.
The ride will begin and end at the fairgrounds. Participants will be asked to ride on a designated route but will be able to ride as many of the miles as they would like. The whole route is approximately 11 miles. A support vehicle will be available throughout the route.
All proceeds will go to the Pedal with Pete Foundation – a philanthropic organization dedicated to raising money for the prevention and cure of cerebral palsy.
Brochures with all the details and a place to put names of sponsors and their donations are available at the Palo Alto County Extension Office, 2008 10th Street, Emmetsburg.
Donations should be turned in during registration the day of the ride or sent to the Palo Alto County Extension Office, 2008 10th Street, Emmetsburg, IA 50536 prior to the ride. Checks should be made out to the Pedal with Pete Foundation. For more information call 712-852-2865.
After the completion of the ride, refreshments will be served and prizes awarded at the 4-H Exhibits Building on the fairgrounds.
Come and join in on the fun – a great way to enjoy the outdoors and naturally social distance!
