Judy Crawford is Retiring
As 2019 comes to a close, so does the FSA career of Judy Crawford. Judy began at the Palo Alto County FSA Office in the fall of 1998. She was considered a temporary office employee working over 50 hours a week because it was the LDP era when the grain markets were below the loan rate allowing a payment for the difference. She filled a full time position the following year and Dan Degnan was CED, replaced by Les Zobrist, then current, Lisa Forburger. She has always been in charge of the Price Support Program, along with Dairy, BCAP and then later had CRP cost share added to her duties.
When asked what is her favorite part about working at FSA, she says it is being able to help the farmers with their needs. Judy enjoys not only the external customers but working with her co-workers and NRCS.
Her plans for retirement include spending more time with her family, traveling, and helping on the farm.
Palo Alto County FSA wishes Judy the best in retirement and she will be missed by all.
