Horizons Unlimited Participates In Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program
Horizons Unlimited, a non-profit organization, is committed to serving adults with disabilities by providing opportunities for community engagement and community employment in our communities. Horizons Unlimited has recently been selected to be a part of the Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program and has begun generating donations through this Program.
The Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program, which launched in November 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where customers live and work.
When a customer purchases a $2.50 red My Heart Reusable Bag at any Hy-Vee store, they have the opportunity to direct a $1 donation to a local non-profit by using the attached Giving Tag.
“We are very excited to participate in this program”, stated Ron Askland, CEO. “Any funds raised will be used to have our members involved in community activities, which allows them to feel part of the Emmetsburg community”.
Horizons Unlimited is a non-profit based in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Horizons began in 1966 and was primarily a facility based agency before they began the transformation to integrated employment and other fully community based services.
In August, 2019, Horizons Unlimited’s 21st Street Group Home had the prestigious honor of receiving the Governor’s Award for Quality of Care in Health Care.
Horizons Unlimited continues to expand its programs, offerings, and experiences for the adults with disabilities that they serve. Horizons Unlimited is honored as being chosen to participate in the Hy-Vee Red Tag Program.
The Red Tag Program provides Horizons Unlimited the opportunity to provide more services to the adults with disabilities that they serve.
