Godbersen Metal Works to Open Manufacturing in Spencer

Godbersen Metal Works has announced the purchase of the facility at 1701 38th Avenue West in Spencer, Iowa. The facility is being updated and will reopen in the near future for contract manufacturing specializing in steel fabrication, welding, machining, painting and assembly for a variety of industries.

The new Iowa Company is founded by Kent Godbersen and his family of Ida Grove, Iowa, with Kent Godbersen serving as President and CEO. Todd A. Kruse and Greg Besaw of Spencer, will serve as General Manager and Plant Manager respectively for thecompany.

Godbersen said the company is looking forward to bringing state-of-the-art, advanced manufacturing to the facility in Spencer. “In the coming months we will be acquiring staff, building a team orientated work force, remodeling and equipping the facility,” said Kent Godbersen, Godbersen Metal Works President and CEO. “It has been a pleasure working with all the talented local leaders who were so supportive in helping us make our new company a reality. We look forward to forming many new relationships in Spencer as we grow our business in the community while providing quality products to our customers around the Midwest.”
