Supervisors Approve Several New Hires

The Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the hiring of one seasonal employee and four permanent employees during their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 26.
Gillian Nolan was approved for summer work for Integrated Roadside Vegetattion Management (IRVM). Her start date is May 13 at a starting wage of $11.50 per hour.
Tim McCarthy was approved to be hired part time by the IRVM efective April 1 at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
Galen Dykstra was approved as a part time operator for Secondary Roads. His starting date is March 26 at a rate of $21.14 per hour.
Amy Devereaux was hired part time for the Environmental Health position at a starting wage of $25.75 per hour with a start date of May 20.
The Board discussed drainage district tile repair process. Kent Malm will be the county contact person for tile repairs. He will act as the go-between for the County, landowners, and tile repair companies.
Malm will be paid $20 per hour (with a one hour minimum) and $30 for one and a half hours. Malm’s fees will be charged to the individual drainage district.
