SCRAMBLED?EGGS - A semi carrying 38,000 dozen eggs tipped over on the north Cylinder Curve Friday afternoon, April 20. Ervin Harold Scott of Sioux City was eastbound on Highway 18 when the rig tipped over. Scott had to be extricated by the Cylinder Fire Department and was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital for treatment of injuries. The semi, owned by M&M?Express of Paullina, was termed a total loss in the mishap. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division, Cylinder Fire Department, Emmetsburg Ambulance Service, Mitch’s Towing and Wickman Towing at the accident scene. -- Dan Voigt photo
