Minnesota Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A domestic incident early Sunday morning, March 18, led to the arrest of a Minnesota resident on attempted murder charges by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
According to Emmetsburg Police Chief Ryan Veldboom, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, officers from the Emmetsburg Police Department responded to a residence located in the 2600 block of Sixth Street in Emmetsburg.
upon arrival at the residence, officers provided emergency first aid to an adult male victim who sustained several stab wounds and lacerations to the face, torso and leg. That victim was transported to the Palo Alto County Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Another victim, an adult female, was also transported to the Palo Alto County Hospital where she was treated for what were termed, non-life threatening injuries.
In conjunction to the assaults, the Emmetsburg Police Department arrested 39-year old Ryan Clark of Fairmont, MN and charged him with Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony. Additionally, Ryan Clark was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault With a Weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor and two counts of Child Endangerment, both Aggravated Misdemeanors.
Following his arrest, Ryan Clark was transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he was booked into jail and held in lieu of a $350,000 bond.
Additional charges are pending in connection with the incident.
The charges against Clark are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. Clark is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
