Supervisors Approve Several Grant Resolutions
With the deadline fast approaching to submit grant applications to the Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation (PACGDC), several entities requested support from the Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors during their regular meeting, Tuesday, Dec.12.
Support was unanimously given to the following entities: Palo Alto County Treasurer, Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Department, the Palo Alto Historical Society Schoolhouse, the Multi-Purpose Center, the Palo Alto County Arts Council, the Palo Alto County Extension Council and the Palo Alto Gun Club.
In other business, Palo Alto County Engineer Walter Davis-Oeth submitted a Utility permit for Windstream in Emmetsburg Township Section 24 to replace an existing wire.
Davis-Oeth also presented for approval four partial acquisition contracts, two with Darwin L Rasmussen Revocable Trust and Gwendolyn S. Rasmussen Revocable Trust and one each with Lake Investment Company LLC and Melvin Molitor. These parcels are along the N26 corridor.
In final business, unanimous approval was given for a liquor license to the West Bend Golf and Country Club Liquor License with outdoor service and Sunday sales.
With the retiring of Emmet Currans from Palo Alto Zoning Commission, a position was open for a new appointment to the commission. The Supervisors gave unanimous approval for Duane Hoffman of Emmetsburg.
