Palo Alto County Health System Names New CEO

On Thursday, Dec. 7, the Vice President of Mercy Hospital Network Development, Chris Harff, announced that Brent Antczak has accepted the position as Administrator/ Chief Executive Officer of Palo Alto County Health System. Antczak’s will begin his new duties on Jan. 2, 2018.

Antczak is a healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning and leadership. His previous position was at Washington County Hospital and Clinics as Chief Clinics Operation Officer. This position allowed him to gain successful experience in recruitment and the on-boarding of six providers, increased patient satisfaction scores 24 percentile points, and he established new service lines and clinic opportunities at Washington County Hospital and Clinics.

Antczak will be moving to Emmetsburg with his wife and two sons who are in high school. He also has a daughter.

The current Interim Administrator, Chuck Kelch’s last day will be on Dec. 20, 2017. He will be a part of Antczak’s orientation. Kelch, who took over as Interim Administrator in March 2017. Kelch’s leadership has been instrumental and it will help to create a smooth transition between administrators.
