Amy Frields Recieves Mercy Health Care’s Golden Hands Award
On Monday, June 5, Amy Frields was honored with Mercy Medical System’s Golden Hands award. “The purpose of the Mercy Golden Awards is to recognize Mercy providers who are admired for customer service, contributions to the organization and practice in their selected field. These providers not only exemplify Mercy’s mission, values and Mercy’s Guiding Behaviors, but also demonstrate a commitment and a passion to healing.”
The Golden Hands award is given to staff that have made exceptional contributions to Mercy Hospitals. The criterion for which a candidate is selected is: she mentors and educates others; she participates actively on committees/ task forces; Promotes Mercy services; exemplifies Mercy’s standards of behavior.
Amy Frields was nominated because of her investment “in the success and advancement of Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS).”
She has worked tirelessly to recruit physicians for PACHS. Her letter of nomination speaks very highly or her recruitment efforts, “Amy has been the connection between the medical providers and visiting physicians, offering to host dinners at her home for visiting recruits, connecting our physicians and the recruits by phone, and coordinating the medical team for interviews and visits with visiting physicians.”
Frields has been involved with a team to increase patient and employee satisfaction. By including programs such as Language of Caring, which teaches staff members specific communication tools to help improve patient satisfaction.
Amy Frields is an integral member of the Palo Alto Health Care team. Her tireless efforts to improve the overall health care experience for both staff and patients has made her more than deserving of the Golden Hands Award.
