Graettinger To Host Annual Holiday Stroll Wednesday

By Staff | Dec 6, 2016

Get into the holiday spirit, come to Graettinger on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 5-7 p.m. and enjoy the Holiday Stroll hosted by the Graettinger Business Club. Many businesses will be open for this event and the streets will be shimmering with the glow of the new Christmas lights.

A canned good donation for Upper Des Moines will get you a ride on the horse drawn wagon around town to view the many decorations that signify a special celebration for young and old alike. A train will be available for the younger children to ride through the streets for their enjoyment of the holiday sights and sounds. Carolers and musicians from the school will be strolling along with you as you enjoy the holiday sights.

The Graettinger businesses will welcome one and all with refreshments and drawings, so don’t forget to visit downtown. Each business will have a Christmas tree and bragging rights are on the line this year for who has the best decorated tree so be sure to cast your vote for your favorite one.

Kids, get your lists for Santa ready. He will be at the library ready to listen to one and all. Photo props for that Christmas photo will also be available at the photo booth in the library, so get your holiday photo taken.

There will be a scavenger hunt and you can pick up the sheet at any of the businesses. Fill it out and win a prize.

New this year, is a $150 prize giveaway. To enter the drawing, pick up a card at any business. Be sure to have it stamped at each business when you go in to see the Christmas trees. You must have all the stamps filled out on your card or you are not eligible to enter.

Be sure to come join the fun in Graettinger on Wednesday, Dec. 7 and let the spirit of the season brighten your day.
