Plans Underway For Ducks Unlimited Banquet Nov. 4
Plans are well underway for the annual Palo Alto Sportsman’s Ducks Unlimited banquet, which is scheduled for November 4 at The Shores at Five Island. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
As in past years, the annual DU?Banquet will feature numerous games and raffles for attendees, along with a catered meal and updates on projects being conducted by Ducks Unlimited.
The banquet will conclude with the annual fundraising auction that will feature artwork by the late Terry Redlin, a special Armistice Day print depicting the famous Armistice Day blizzard. The auction will also feature numerous decoys, knives and outdoor gear, as well as items for the home or man-cave.
One of the pre-event raffles will be the DU Great Gun Giveaway along with the Cast & Blast Raffle, where the winner will be able to take their choice of over 40 different guns or other select sporting goods equipment items. Sales of this raffle are presently underway and the winner need not be present at the banquet drawing to win.
There will also be a special gun drawing for any “bronze-level” sponsors.
A new feature this year on the Palo Alto Sportsmen Facebook page is a photo contest for participants to submit their hunting photos. Entries will be judged and the winner will be awarded their prize at the DU?Banquet. Rules are listed on the Facebook page. The photo contest is open to all ages.
