Palo Alto County Farm Bureau Hosts Special 100 Year Celebration in Emmetsburg

Palo Alto County Farm Bureau held its 100th year celebration on Thursday, Aug. 4, at The Shores at Five Island.

All Palo Alto County Farm Bureau members were invited to join in celebrating this milestone.

A free roast beef supper was served by the members of the West Bend-Mallard FFA to attendees.

Special guest speaker for the evening was Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President Craig Hill. Mr. Hill gave a brief history of the Iowa Farm Bureau and thanked everyone for their continued support of Farm Bureau.

Guests had a chance to win several great door prizes during this special occasion with the grand prize being a Daniel Boone Green Mountain Grill.

There were several special guests for the evening’s event as well.

Special guests included Senator David Johnson, Jerry Self Regional Director for Senator Joni Ernst, Jacob Bossman Regional Director for Senator Chuck Grassley, Representative Megan Jones and the 2016 recipients of the Palo Alto County Farm Bureau scholarships Rachel Hoffman of West Bend and Katelyn Hoffman of Emmetsburg.

Palo Alto County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and staff thank everyone who attended the special 100 year celebration, truly a milestone anniversary. It was truly a special night.
