Iowa Lakes Foundation Hosts Scholarship Tractor Ride and Farm Expo

The uniform for the day is bib overalls and a seed corn cap for the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s Annual Scholarship Tractor Ride. The 2016 Tractor Ride takes place on Thursday, July 7.

Coffee and rolls provided prior to the ride prepare participants for a scenic tour of Palo Alto County. The Tractor Ride starts at 9 a.m.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Iowa Lakes Community College Farm west of Emmetsburg on Highway 18. Cost is $30 per person and includes hat, lunch and a donation to the scholarship.

The Farm Expo, at the College Farm Laboratory, will begin at 4:30 p.m. Students will be giving tours and our guest speaker, Bryan Waddingham, Executive Director, Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers will speak around 5:30 p.m.
