It was a pleasure reading the article on March 22nd in The Emmetsburg Reporter.

Paddy Horan Solberg and I met when we were both hired by Trans World Airlines and flew to the United States on the 13th of September 1963, to start our flying career. We had many wonderful adventures together and I was truly privileged to have her as a friend, not only as those years as “Airline Hostesses” but also over the decades since.

I remember when Paddy was chosen by TWA to escort the mayor of Dublin to Emmetsburg. They chose her not only for her Irish Ancestry, but also for her beauty and eloquence. She was a wonderful ambassador for the airline and we were all very proud of her. I am delighted that you are honoring her in this special way, so that this important milestone in her life will be remembered.

Finally I would like to say to my dear friend Paddy that we will always remember and keep you in our hearts for you were loved too much to be forgotten.
