Absentee Ballots Now Avialable For Iowa Lakes Special Election

Absentee ballots are now available at the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office for the Iowa Lakes Community College Special Election to be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

Persons who are disabled or are going to be absent on election day may vote an absentee ballot at the County Auditor’s Office or request an absentee ballot through the mail. Requests by mail must be on the Official Absentee Ballot Request Form available at the County Auditor’s Office. The Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office is open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M, Monday through Friday.

The last day to pre-register to vote for the Iowa Lakes Community College Special Election will be on Friday January 22, 2016.

If a voter has moved since the last election, they are asked to please call the Auditor’s Office at 712-852-2924 to get their address changed and to avoid waiting in line at the polls.

The polls will be open on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Polling Places for the Iowa Lakes Community College Special Election on February 2, 2016, are as follows:

Emmetsburg Community School District votes at the Election Center in Emmetsburg.

Graettinger-Terril Community School District votes at the Graettinger Public Library.

Ruthven-Ayrshire Community School District votes at the Ruthven Social Center.

West Bend-Mallard Community School District votes at the West Bend Public Library.
