Halloween Weekend Events, Trick Or Treating Hours Set

Halloween is this Saturday night and with it comes Trick or Treating in area communities. Here are a few tips to keep your little ones safe this Halloween:

Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape.

Have kids use glow sticks or flashlights making them easily seen.

Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

Select the right size for a costume to prevent trips and falls.

Motorists should be especially alert between the hours of 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm when children are most likely to be out.

Following simple, common sense tips will help ensure a safe and fun Halloween this year.

Ayrshire – Trick or Treating will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Cylinder – Trick or Treating will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Emmetsburg – Lakeside Lutheran Home will be hosting a “Spooktacular Night” on Friday, October 30 from 6 pm to 730 pm featuring Spooky Corridors, Haunted Hallway to Eerie Assisted Living with a Costume Contest at 7:00 pm. Trick or Treat at PARC Hall will be on Saturday, October 31 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There will be Trunk or Treating at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 4:30 pm to 7 pm, and trick or treating around town will be from 4:30 pm to 7 pm on Saturday, October 31.

Graettinger – Trick or Treating will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Mallard – There will be a Halloween Party Fund Raiser at the Mallard Public Library on Saturday, October 31 from 5 pm to 9 pm with a soup supper served from 5 pm to 7 pm with the Halloween Party from 7 pm to 9 pm. Trick or treating around the community will be from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Rodman – Trick or Treating will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Ruthven – Trick or treating will be held on Saturday, October31 from 5 pm to 7 pm. During this time there will be trick or treating at the Ruthven Care Center from 6 pm to 7 pm.

West Bend – On Friday, October 30, Cindy Bormann’s class will be visiting the West Bend Care Center at 9:15 am. This will be followed by a Halloween lunch also at the West Bend Care Center. Trick or treating in the community will be from 5 pm to 7 pm with trick or treating at this time at the West Bend Care Center also.
