West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate To Celebrate Homecoming
WEST?BEND – The Homecoming season begins this week with festivities for West Bend-Mallard/ Gilmore City-Bradgate. Homecoming 2015 got underway Monday with Pajama Day for WBM/GCB?students. Tuesday, Sept 22 is Decade Day, with Seniors dressing up to represent the 80’s; Juniors will dress up for the 90’s; sophomores will model the fashions of the 70’s and Freshmen will show off the trends of the 60’s.
Wednesday, Sept 23 will be city day and Thursday, Sept 24, is Class Color Day.
The festivities ramp up on Friday, Sept. 25 with the theme of the Day, “Whip The Wolves.”
The annual Jersey fundraising auction will run from 12:30 to 1 p.m. in the gym at West Bend, to be followed at 1 p.m. by the skits and the coronation of the 2015 Homecoming royalty. Candidates for Homecoming queen are Taylor Elbert, daughter of Kim and Kimberly Elbert; Rachel Hoffman, daughter of Steve and Martha Hoffman; Anna Zaugg, daughter of David and Melissa Zaugg; Felicia Fehr, daughter of Byron and Anita Fehr and Makayla Myers, daughter of Denny Davis and Judy Marchant.
Homecoming King candidates are Travis Fehr, son of Darren and Nora Fehr; Jack Banwart, son of John and Kim Banwart; Harmon Atwood, son of Tom and Barb Atwood; Dalton Knobloch, son of Denton and Rose Knobloch and Nolan Grimm, son of Jordon and Ann Grimm.
The Homecomings Parade will follow the coronation at 2 p.m. and a community Pep Rally is set for 2:50 p.m.
The Homecoming week’s activities will wrap up Friday evening when the Wolverines play host to the Wolves of Harris-Lake Park for the 2015 Wolverine Homecoming football game.
