PACHS ‘Patient Portal’ Offers a Multitude of Services to Residents
Palo Alto County Hospital has had an electronic health record since 2008 which included records for patients in the hospital.
This August, Family Practice Clinics, as well as Palo Alto County Hospital, began offering a new electronic health record that will include and coordinate patient medical files for hospital and clinic, financial services and purchasing services.
This new program also allows for a new and improved patient portal with a multitude of services available to patients.
Similar to online banking or other websites people use every day, the new patient portal called HealtheLife is a safe, easy online way to access your health information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, when it’s convenient for you.
To use this portal, you will need an email address and a devise to view your email such as a computer or smart phone.
On the new portal, not only will you be able to see your personal health information such as allergies, procedures and health issues, you will also be able to see lab results, immunizations, discharge documents and visit summaries, and future appointments.
In addition, this new portal will also allow you to send a message to your medical provider, request appointments, pay or view your bill, and find links to health information and the PACHS website.
Signing up for the new patient portal is easy. When registering for services at any Family Practice Clinic or Palo Alto County Health System, you will be asked for your email address. Afterwards, you will be sent an invitation by e-mail to sign up for the portal. Patients may elect to accept the invitation by responding to the directions on the invitation.
This is an easy and secure way to access your information whenever and wherever you need it. Re-registration is required for those who have been using the previous portal as this is a whole new program with many additional features we are sure you will enjoy.
