Absentee Ballots Available For School Board Elections

Absentee ballots are now available at the Palo Alto County Auditor’s Office for the school election to be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.

Persons who are disabled or are going to be absent on Election Day, September 8, may vote an absentee ballot at the County Auditor’s Office or request an absentee ballot through the mail. Requests by mail must be on the Official Absentee Ballot Request Form available at the County Auditor’s Office. The County Auditor’s Office is open from 8am to 4pm. Absentee voting is available at the Auditor’s Office from 8am to 11am on Election Day.

The last day to pre-register to vote for the school election is on Friday August 28, 2015.

If you have moved please call the Auditor’s Office at 712-852-2924 to get your address changed and to avoid waiting in line at the polls.

The polls will be open on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M.

Voters living in the Emmetsburg Community School District will cast their votes at the Election Center in Emmetsburg.

Residents living in the Graettinger-Terril Community School District will vote at the Graettinger Public Library, with patrons living in Dickinson County voting at the Terril Memorial Building in Terril.

Patrons of the Ruthven-Ayrshire Community School District will cast their votes at the Ruthven Social Center.

For those voters living in the West Bend-Mallard Community School District, voting will be conducted at the West Bend Public Library and the Mallard Community Center.
