Sunday Morning Flight Breakfast

By Staff | Jul 1, 2015

Look to the sky Sunday morning as planes come flying into Emmetsburg Municipal Airport for the Kiwanis Annual Flight Breakfast. Planes will be arriving by 7 a.m.

A couple of special planes will be on the tarmac and in the air on Sunday. Elmer Steier of Whittemore makes a pass over the airport before landing the Bamboo Bomber. This World War II plane is a treasure to view.

Aaron McCartan of Pocahontas will be at the airport with his aerobatic plane. He is a national aerobatics champion and may perform a few aerial tricks Sunday morning for the crowd.

Kiwanis members will be serving pancakes, omelets, sausage and drink from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They will be preparing this wonderful breakfast in the hangar at the Emmetsburg Airport.

Fly in (D.O.T. Freq. 122.800) and pilots eat free. Or drive in and enjoy the morning. You might be surprised what you see in the sky Sunday morning.

Everyone is welcome.
