Smith Youth Golf Program Begins Monday At Five Island Golf
Youth wanting to participate in the Smith Youth Golf Program at Five Island Golf in Emmetsburg can sign up now. Registrations are now being accepted at the clubhouse. The program begins Monday, June 24.
The Smith Youth Golf Program is sponsored by the Arthur and Audrey Smith Foundation and Five Island Golf. The program is open to all children ages 8 years through 8th grade.
Volunteer instructors will teach students all aspects of the game, including club selection and usage, chipping, putting and golf etiquette.
Young golfers will meet one day a week for four weeks, then participate in a youth tournament.
Youth golf dates are 8 a.m. Monday June 24, July 1, July 8 and July 15.
Young golfers with no experience playing golf, some experience playing golf, and those who play regularly are welcome to participate.
Volunteers to assist with Monday morning lessons are encouraged to contact Five Island Golf at 852-3422.
The Youth Tournament date is Friday, July 19.
The Tom Myers Youth Tournament is open to young golfers age 8 years through 8th grade.
The Art Pritchard Youth Open Tournament is for students who are freshmen through seniors in high school.
