March: Ag Recognition Month
Eight guest speakers are on tap for Ag Education Day, a day-long conference to be held Tuesday, March 12. Hosted by Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation, along with the Ag Committee and area ag-related businesses, the event runs
from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
The theme for this year’s event is “Ag Education Day”. The event will feature topics on world trends and implications for the Midwest, the Rock Island Clean Line project, crop nutrients, agricultural outlook, bioenergy and integrating food and fuel production, POET’s Project Liberty, and a legislative update on agriculture and biofuels in today’s economy.

A registration form will be included in the brochure which can be filled out and mailed along with a check made payable to Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation, 106 S. Individuals may also register at the door the day of the event. Cost for the event is $20 per person through Feb. 28. After March 1, the registration fee will be $25 per person. Cost for students is $15 and will include lunch.
