Palo Alto County Supervisors Canvass Primary Election

Results from the June 5 Primary Election were made official by the Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors during their June 12 meeting.

The Supervisors canvassed the votes from the Primary Election; those candidates will be placed on the ballot for the November 6, General Election.

A tally of the following write-in votes was also shared.

On the Democratic side, a total of 50 write-in votes were made. The following names were submitted as write-in candidates:

United States Representative District 4: Steve King, 1 vote; No name, 1 vote

State Representative District 2: No name, 2 votes

Board of Supervisors District 3: Ed Noonan, 1 vote; Jim Smith, 1 vote

Board of Supervisors District 4: Dale Hoffman, 1 vote; Wade Alesch, 1 vote; Ron Graettinger, 2 votes

Board of Supervisors District 5: No write-in votes

County Auditor: Carmen Moser, 21 votes; No name, 2 votes; Jan Stowell, 1 vote; Bonnie Whitney, 1 vote; Brian Malm, 1 vote; Jim Smith, 1 vote; Scott Wirtz, 1 vote

County Sheriff: Darrin Adams, 6 votes; Andy Adams, 3 votes; Russell Jergens, 2 votes; Russell Jugens, 1 vote

On the Republican side, a total of 21 write-in votes were made. The following names were submitted as write-in candidates:

United States Representative District 4: Jerry Holland, 1

State Representative District 2: No write-in votes

Board of Supervisors District 3: Rick Brennan, 1 vote

Board of Supervisors District 4: No write-in votes

Board of Supervisors District 5: Thomas Leonard, 2 votes; Andrew Stolley, 1 vote County Auditor: No write-in votes

County Sheriff: Todd Suhr, 8 votes; Lynn J. Schultes, 4 votes; Larry Ackerman, 1 vote; Shurr, 1 vote; Lynn Schulte, 1 vote; Len Schultes, 1 vote
