Winner of Our Story Productions Giveaway Receives $5,000
Have you tuned into Chamber Channel 3 and caught the segments promoting Emmetsburg, shot by Our Story Productions? Maybe you have watched the talk shows and soap opera, featuring fictitious Sweet Swine County, which highlight the tourist attractions and retail businesses of Emmetsburg.
If you have, then you will want to vote for your favorite Emmetsburg business in April. The top vote getter will receive $5,000 from the Fairmont, Minnesota-based Our Story Productions.
“Emmetsburg is awesome. They support their local businesses so well, and those businesses, in turn, do so much for the town,” said Jeff Rouse, Executive Producer of Our Story Production. “This is a chance for everyone to show their support of these local businesses. “
Rouse says everyone is welcome to vote.
“You can vote for yourself [business owners/employees] or have customers, friends, and family vote for you. You may only cast one vote for your organization of choice, so make it count,” Rouse noted.
Votes can be cast online only at: www.giveaway.ourstorymn.com/. The voting period is one month long, beginning April 1 and ending April 30.
“Within 10 days after that, Our Story will show up at the winner’s door with a camera crew and $5,000,” said Rouse. “We will be filming and photographing the winner for our TV program “Our Story: Small-town Living at its Best!” along with our magazine and Internet web sites.”
The winner can utilize their $5,000 prize any way they choose.
Among the 13 Emmetsburg businesses you can vote for are: Johnson Realty, Riviera Theatre, Jensvold Motor Company, Palo Alto County Health System, Hughes Health Mart Pharmacy, Iowa Trust & Savings Bank, Hardware Hank, The Glass Shop, Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce, Emmetsburg Lumber & Supply, Saxton’s Greenhouse & Flowers & Gifts, Lakeside Lutheran Home, and Emmetsburg Screen Printing.
“Over the last four years, our audience has grown from one local television station to being aired in over 1.3 million households in 43 counties in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. With our magazine, “The Road To Our Story,” and our Internet presence, we reach untold millions more,” said Rouse.
Emmetsburg was the first Iowa town selected to be spotlighted by Our Story Productions in 2010.
