Entries are to be delivered to the Heritage Center, 2008 10th Street, on Friday, March 16, between 8 and 9 a.m. Judging will take place at 10 a.m., with the visiting Irish dignitaries doing the honors. The public is invited to a tasting.
The Robert Emmet Society is offering prizes of $15 for first place; $10 for second place; and $5 for third place.
Guests are invited to view a display of Irish family memorabilia at the?Heritage Center.
Sally Brennan of Emmetsburg is compiling a book, “They Came and They Stayed.” The book is an ongoing project, telling family histories of Emmetsburg families.
“This family history book is a contribution to the history of Emmetsburg,” said Sally. “Emmetsburg families of all nationalities are invited to share their histories, telling how their families came to Emmetsburg and stayed.”
