As a part of his dedication to outdoor experiences, Darrin has been a volunteer instructor providing the Iowa DNR required hunter safety course to several hundred youth and adults over the last 11 years.
“Most kids may not remember their first period homeroom teacher, but most remember who they took hunter safety with.” Adams continued saying, “This is my way of giving something to the young hunters of our community.”
Darrin and his wife Tricia have made Emmetsburg their home. Tricia works as the Human Resources Manager for Kerber Companies. They have two children, Hannah (9) and Nathan (5) who attend school at West Elementary. They love fishing, playing outside, and working in the shop with their Dad.
“I am humbled by the support I have received from all the communities in Palo Alto County during this early campaign to be the next Sheriff of Palo Alto County. My Dad told me as a child that one can learn a lot more by listening than talking. I hope to have the chance to hear your concerns and your advice over the next several months. If you don’t want to talk election topics, we can visit about antique tractors, hunting, woodworking, fishing, or even the crazy weather we have been having,” said Adams.
“I hope when Election Day rolls around that I have earned your trust and respect to receive your vote to fill the position of Palo Alto County Sheriff. As Sheriff, the deputies and I will remember we live amongst the people we work for,” says Adams. “We are all neighbors and we need to be proud of the service and protection we provide the citizens of Palo Alto County.”
