Kuehl &?Payer, Ltd. has merged with I&S?Group, effective Jan. 1. The merged company will maintain the I&S Group name and will be headquartered in Mankato, MN.

The current ownership of Kuehl &?Payer will continue to be part of the merged ownership with Ivan Droessler, Don Etler and Scott Shevel now serving on the I&S?Group Board of Directors. Chad Surprenant will continue as I&S Group President and oversee the operations in cooperation with the combined leaders in the firm.

“We are excited about the opportunity to merge the best qualities of both of these successful firms to provide our existing clients with an even higher level of service and reach out to new clients with responsive, creative and cost effective design services,” said Surprenant.

The merger expands the geographic service area and areas of expertise. Kuehl &?Payer provides municipal engineering, agricultural drainage, water and wastewater treatment, recreational facilities and land surveying. I&S?Group provides architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and agricultural engineering, and environmental planning and permitting.

“The breadth of services offered, quality of service provided and experience of the merged firm will be a huge asset to our clients,” said Don Etler, former President of Kuehl &?Payer.
