Welcome to the world, little Lane Aaron Penner.

Baby Lane was the first baby born at Palo Alto County Hospital in 2012. He arrived Tuesday, just three days into the new year.

Aaron and Melissa Penner of Whittemore are the proud parents. The little guy weighed 8 pounds, seven and one-half ounces, and measured 20 and one-half inches tall.

Welcoming baby Lane into the family are big brother Caleb, age six, and big sister Lauryn, who is almost two. Caleb, a Kindergartener in Algona, is ready to help Mom take care of his new brother, and Lauryn stays close to Mom as she carefully watches this new little boy.

This is a busy young family. Aaron works for GLE Trucking out of Algona. Melissa works at Exceptional Opportunities in Burt.
